Global Football Exchange is not a showcase camp, a pay-to-train facility, or an isolated international academy. We integrate ambitious players directly into competitive European club environments, the same structure, same training, and same matches as local domestic players.
For participants aged 14β17, the program is designed first as an educational and cultural exchange experience. Learning German, developing independence, and understanding a new culture are central to the journey. Football is a secondary part of that experience, giving participants the opportunity to engage with local sporting life and connect with others through a shared interest.
GFE was founded by two people who together cover both halves of what a young player needs abroad: elite football development, and a safe, structured life off the pitch.

Marcus is a UEFA A licensed coach and sports scientist with extensive experience across German professional and youth football. His background includes roles with 1. FC Union Berlin, SC Borea Dresden, and within German coach and player development structures. At GFE, Marcus leads player assessment and individual development planning, while working closely with our German club partners and their technical staff. His experience in scouting, performance development, and talent identification allows us to look beyond how a player performs today and understand what they need to take the next step.Every pathway is individual. Marcus helps make sure each player is placed in an environment that matches their level, potential, and long-term development.

A UEFA B licensed coach and former semi-professional player, Francisco brings first-hand experience of both playing and coaching within the German football system. His coaching background includes 1. FC Union Berlinβs academy pathway and U19 Bundesliga football, combined with a degree in Psychology and years of experience working with young players. At GFE, Francisco leads the international side of each playerβs journey β from identifying talent and understanding the person behind the player, to building the right relationships and opportunities within Germany. Having experienced the challenges of pursuing football abroad himself, he understands what young players and their families are stepping into and helps guide them through it personally.
GFE alumni who trained and competed at SC Borea Dresden have since been selected for the Canadian national youth program. Real development in a real European environment made the difference.

National Attention

Outside of Europe, regions across the Americas and around the world produce thousands of talented young footballers every year. Yet, almost none of them get a direct, genuine route into the European club system, the place where professional careers are actually made.
GFE exists to close that gap. Not with another short showcase or temporary camp, but with real club integration, official league football, and a residential structure families can trust. We built the pathway we wished had existed when we were starting out.
